I am a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Nevada, Reno. My research focuses on farm structure, food systems, and genetically engineered products. I have conducted both empirical research and extension projects while collaborating with a diverse group of colleagues, such as researchers from other Land-Grant Universities, county-based extension educators, stakeholders, and producers. My current projects relate to developing a measure to capture the changing distribution of farm and ranch sizes in the U.S., evaluating the resilience of local food systems, and analyzing the impact of policy changes on vulnerable households (low-income consumers).
